1.1 Potentiometer Type

This kind of potentiometer type single Phase AC voltage regulator uses a standard housing (rectangle shape) with four terminals. Port1 and Port2 are output terminals that connect the single-phase AC power supply and the load; Port3 and Port4 are input signal terminals that connect the potentiometer. The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the potentiometer, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.

This kind of potentiometer type single Phase AC voltage regulator uses an industrial housing (long strip shape) with four terminals, suitable for demanding applications such as industrial and commercial applications. Output terminals are connected to the single-Phase AC power supply and load; input signal terminals are connected to the potentiometer. The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the potentiometer, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.

This kind of analog signal type single Phase AC voltage regulator uses a standard housing (rectangle shape) with four terminals. Port1 and Port2 are output terminals that connect single-Phase AC power supply and load; Port3 and Port4 are input signal terminals that connect the analog control signal device. The control signal is analog continuous voltage, divided into three type--E type:0~5VDC, F type:0~10VDC, G type:4~20VDC. The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the analog signal, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.

This kind of digital signal type single Phase AC voltage regulator uses a standard housing (rectangle shape) with four terminals. Port1 and Port2 are output terminals that connect single-Phase AC power supply and load; Port3 and Port4 are input signal terminals that connect the digital control signal device, like the PLC and voltage regulator. The control signal is pulse voltage (mutant and discontinuous). The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the pulse signal, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.

This kind of external transformer type single Phase AC voltage regulator uses a standard housing (rectangle shape). Port1 and Port2 are output terminals that connect single-Phase AC power supply and load; brown and red cables are connected to the 18VAC external transformer. The control signal can be divided into automatic control signal (E type: 0~5VDC, F type: 0~10VDC, H type: 1~5VDC, G type: 4~20mA) and manual control signal (potentiometer). E, F, H types have the manual control function, while G type not. The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the input control signal, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.

§2. How to wire Three Phase AC Voltage Regulator

2.1 Simple Type

This kind of simple type three Phase AC voltage regulator uses a simple package (or easy assembling), with basic voltage regulation function, and it is cheaper than the normal type. A1, B1, C1 ports are connected to the three-Phase AC power supply; A2, B2, C2 ports are connected to the load. CON an COM are connected to the control signal device. The control signal can be divided into E type: 0~5VDC, F type: 0~10VDC, and G type: 4~20mA. +5VDC is the internal power supply, which is generated by the regulator itself. The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the input control signal, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.

2.2 Normal Type

This kind of normal type three Phase AC voltage regulator uses a normal package (or advanced assembling), with adaptability of demanding work environments, and it has more functions than the simple type. R, S, T ports are connected to the three-Phase AC power supply; U, V, W ports are connected to the load. CON an COM are connected to the control signal device. The control signal can be divided into E type: 0~5VDC, F type: 0~10VDC, and G type: 4~20mA. +5VDC is the internal power supply, which is generated by the regulator itself. The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the input control signal, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.

And following is the additional function:
1) Adjustable output voltage range: the maximum output value and minimum output value of the output voltage can be adjusted by BIAS.
2) Multi-function LED status indicator light: PL will be lighted when the voltage regulator is connected to the three phase 380VAC power supply and powered on; IN will lighted when the temperature control signal is transmitted from the temperature controller; OUT will be lighted when the voltage regulator is connected to the load and works steadily; FB will be lighted when the fast fuse is blown.

§3. How to wire AC Voltage Control Module

3.1 Single Phase AC Phase-Shift Voltage Regulator Module

This kind of single Phase AC phase-shift voltage regulator module has the closed-loop (negative feedback) voltage regulation system, which can effectively stabilize the load voltage. Port1 and Port2 are connected to the single-Phase AC power supply; Port3 and Port4 are connected to the load. The terminal strip is connected to the control signal device. The control signal can be divided into automatic control signal (E type: 0~5VDC, G type: 4~20mA) and manual control signal (potentiometer). The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the input control signal, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.

This kind of full isolation single Phase AC voltage regulator module has LED status indicator light. Port3 and Port4 are connected to the single-Phase AC power supply; Port1 and Port2 are connected to the load. The input terminals are connected to the control signal device. The control signal can be divided into automatic control signal (E type: 0~5VDC, F type: 0~10VDC, H type: 1~5VDC, G type: 4~20mA) and manual control signal (potentiometer). E, F, H types have the manual control function, while G type not. The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the input control signal, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.

3.3 Full Isolation Three Phase AC Voltage Regulator Module

MGR-STY Series

This kind of full isolation three Phase AC voltage regulator module uses TB-3 as the power source of the 18VAC synchronous voltage. The N, R, S, T ports of the TB-3 synchronous transformer are connected to the three-Phase AC power supply; r1, r2, s1, s2, t1, t2 ports of TB-3 are connected to the r1, r2, s1, s2, t1, t2 ports of the regulator module. The terminal strip is connected to the control signal device. The control signal can be divided into automatic control signal (E type: 0~5VDC, F type: 0~10VDC, H type: 1~5VDC, G type: 4~20mA) and manual control signal (potentiometer). E, F, H types have the manual control function, while G type not. The conduction angle of the thyristor can be changed by adjusting the input control signal, to adjust the output voltage to achieve the purpose of regulating and controlling the load voltage.
